Jose Mourinho as a Chelsea manager in the Premier League after a 6 year absence. |
The Happy One returns to Stamford bridge for the first time in 6 years to take charge of Chelsea in the new season. The fans too will be delighted to see him return and will welcome him with a warm reception at their home stadium.
Chelsea will look to open their account on a high against the newly promoted Hull City Tigers and will look to avoid any blushes to get their all important premier league season underway.
Chelsea will start to start their season on a high against Hull City Tigers |
Jose Mourinho will look to rest some players who were on international duty such as Cesar Azpilicueta, Victor Moses, Garry Cahill and Frank Lampard. But new signings Andre Schurrle and Marko Van Ginkle are set to make their Chelsea debuts today.
For Hull City Tigers, Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore will look to go straight into the first team following their arrival from Tottenham this week. The only injury concern for the Hull City Tigers will be the Irish international Stephen Quinn who is out with a hamstring problem.
It is worth mentioning that Hull have never won in the league at Chelsea in 15 visits and have scored in only three so we can expect a really one sided contest today.
Chelsea probable starting line-up: (Possible, 4-2-3-1) Cech; Ivanovic, Terry, Luiz, Cole; Essien, Lampard; Schürrle, Oscar, Hazard; Lukaku.
Hull City probable starting line-up:(Possible, 3-4-1-2): McGregor; Davies, Chester, Figuero; Elmohamady, Quinn, Meyler, Brady; Koren; Sagbo, Graham.
Referee: Jonathan Moss. Matches: 23, Red cards: 1, Yellow cards: 68.
